Training Philosophy

Cole has been an active person since being a kid. Rugby, long distance running, and dance were his first forays into fitness. That passion for movement inspired him to pursue his degree in Exercise Science. Now, with over 7 years of education in exercise science, with 3 of those years being an active part in research. He primarily observed the impacts of creatine and it’s influence on female athletes. During his final year of his undergrad Cole found a passion for powerlifting. Cole has had the opportunity to help several athletes to PR their powerlifting totals and build the physiques. Over the last 4 years has also had the opportunity to compete, adding to his total by over 300 lbs and having the honor to compete at the National stage in the USAPL. His expertise lies in powerlifting. But the concepts that allow a competitive powerlifter to succeed are as impactful on everyday people, regardless of their goal. He believes that, “There is nothing wrong with being strong.” There are countless benefits that come from being able to lift more; increased bone strength, increased tendon strength, reduced glucose sensitivity, etc. but at the core, being stronger puts you leagues ahead for aging, physique and quality of life. Strength does not need to take over your life, but it can help your day to day be that much better.
